Is it possible to be a driver on two different car insurance policies?

I am still on my parents insurance policy and will get my own car shortly. Can I leave myself on their insurance and get a new policy for the new car?

Yes, can. Your parents had to pay extra to have you on their policy, so they will still have to pay extra. You will then pay for your policy yourself.

you can be listed as a driver on your parents policy and rated on your car. you only need to pay premium to be rated on the vehicle you drive. coverage always follows the car. so you are covered to drive anyone’s car that gives you permission

Yes, you can. I’m insured on my own car. I’m also insured on the company car that I drive at work.

Yes you can. You should also add them as additionals on your policy if you live with them.
